Samsún Sampson: líon beag: Luimneach, Doire & rl. Bhí an sloinne Sasanach le fáil ón 14 céad agus bhí siad chun tosaigh i Luimneach sa 17 céad. B'iad na Briotánaigh a tháinig le Liam Concaire go Sasana a thug an t-ainm seo leo - naomh a bhí faoi ómós sa bhaile.
Sansome rare: Belfast area etc. Probably as Sampson though Cottle refers to a Welsh saint who was venerated in Brittany. DOS.
