Surname Dictionary

Fivey Very rare: Fermanagh etc. Ir. Ó Cuaig. The sept Quigg was of Derry and now widespread in Ulster. The name probably arises from the personal name Cuag - certainly not from cúig ("five" in Irish).MIF.
Fyvie Very rare: Down etc. Scottish, from placename in Aberdeenshire. See also Fivey.
