Dolan Very numerous: E Connacht, S W Ulster etc. Ir. Ó Dobhailin. Maclysaght notes this recorded in 12 cent in Uí Maine (Galway-Roscommon). However, the version in use is Ó Dubhshláin, mod spell. Ó Dúláin. SI.
O'Dowling rare: Cork. Ir. Ó Dúnlaing. One of the "Seven Septs of Laois". As Dowling they are well represented in E Leinster and generally. IF.
