MacTeague rare: Tyrone etc. Ir. Mac Taidhg. As Mac Tague, q.v.
MacTeigue Very rare: Antrim. Ir. Mac Taidhg. See Mac Tague.
MacTigue Quite numerous: Mayo etc. Ir. Mac Taidhg. From first name Tadhg, poet. A branch of the O'Kellys in Galway; otherwise an ephemeral name in Mayo and Donegal. See also Tighe, Mac Caig, Mac Keague.
Teague Quite numerous: Tyrone etc. Ir. Ó Taidhg, from first name Tadhg, a poet. Generally not a sept but an eponymous native of Ulster, sometimes with racist connotation.
