Connell numerous: Down, Midlands, Connacht. Ir. Mac Dhomhnaill (Ulster), Mac Conaill. In some instances, MacConnon has been changed to MacConnell. SI.
Cormack Quite numerous: Galway, Tipperary, Kilkenny. Ir. Mac Cormaic. From the very popular personal name Cormac, derivation of which is not clear. Usually as MacCormack.
Mac Conaill Mac Connell: an-líonmhar: Cúige Uladh. Claochlú ar Mac Dhomhnaill atá ann.
Mac Cormaic Mac Cormack, Mac Cormick: an-líonmhar ins gach aird: go sonrach Lár na Tíre & oirthear Uladh - Albanaigh iad sa, cuid mhaith. Tháinig an sloinne seo i bhfeidhm in áiteanna éagsúla timpeall na tíre. Bhí clann amháin aitheanta i Longfort.IF.

MacConnell Very numerous: Ulster generally, Midlands etc. Ir. Mac Dhomhnaill (son of Dónall). The name is identical with Mac Donnell which is more generally in use. Septs were located in Antrim and Fermanagh.
MacCormack Very numerous: all areas, especially Midlands. Ir. Mac Cormaic (son of Cormac), a popular first name. There was a sept in Longford but the name is general.
MacCormick Very numerous: E Ulster, less so elsewhere. Otherwise as Mac Cormack. Mac Lysaght considers many of the Ulster people to be of Scottish origin.
