de Faoite White, Whyte: an-líonmhar ar fud na tíre. Bua-aidiacht Béarla cosúil le "bán" i nGaeilge. Bhí na Faoitigh ar Bhardas Luimnigh i 1213 agus bhain siad leis an gcathair agus leis an gcontae ó shoin i leith.
Faoiteach White: féach de Faoite.
Mac Faoitigh Mac White, Mac Whitty: tá na leagain Béarla fíor-annamh anois. Féach de Faoite.
White Very numerous: all areas, E Ulster, Leinster, Limerick etc. Ir. de Faoite. An English nick-name, "fair" analogous to Irish bán, which it sometimes replaces. In Ireland 13 cent, they appear on Limerick Corporation in 1213. See also Whyte. IF.
Whyte numerous: all areas, especially Roscommon-Galway-Mayo, E Ulster (Scots), Waterford-Wexford. Variant of White, q.v.
