Hilland	fairly rare: Belfast, Down.
Hylands	numerous: all areas, particularly S Midlands. Ir. Ó h-Aoláin; originally Ó Faoláin, (Whelan). The name occurs in England as Hayland and this may the origin of some of those in Ulster. SI.
