de Stacapúl Stackpoole: cuíosach annamh: Angla-Normnnaigh ó áit i bPenfro, Cymru, a tháinig sa 13 céad agus chuir futhu sa Pháil. Faoin 16 céad, bhí siad líonmhar sa Chlár. Tugadh an leas-ainm Gall Dubh orthu, leis. Bhí bean díobh pósta le David Aikenhead i gCorcaigh agus b'í sin máthair Mháire Aikenhead (1787-1852) a bhunaigh Ord na Carthanachta.
De Stacpoole Very rare: Meath. Ir. Galldubh (black foreigner-this is not derogatory in Irish). This family, then called Stakbolle, came from Wales 13 cent. Hence the Gaelic cognomen which was also used by the Stapletons, q.v. MIF.

Stackpoole fairly rare: Limerick-Kerry. Known in Irish as Gall Dubh (dark foreigner) as well as de Stacapúl. They were Anglo-Normans, 13 cent, from a place in Wales. MIF.
