Mac an Tánaiste Tansey: cuíosach líonmhar: Sligeach-Ros Comáin. Bhí an chlann lonnaithe i gCorrán, Sligeach, sa 17 céad agus is annsan atá a n-áit dúchais, is cosúil. Aisteach go leor, tugadh Ó Blioscáin orthu i gcaint na ndaoine - ath-aistriúchán ar tansy, an luibh go bhfuil franclus uirthi sa Ghaeilge anois. Blioscán = briosclán (silver-weed).
Tansey fairly numerous: mainly Roscommon-Sligo. Ir. Mac an Tánaiste (heir presumptive to the head of a sept). Confusion with tansy (flower) gives Ir. Ó Blioscáin.MIF.
