Heaney numerous: Ulster generally, Connacht etc. Ir. (1) Ó h-Éighnigh (Ulster); (2) Ó h-Éanna (Mayo, Clare-Limerick). For the former, see Heagney. The latter were Connacht and Munster families derived from the personal name Éanna (bird-like). MIF & SGG.
Heney Quite numerous: Wexford-Kilkenny etc. Ir. Ó h-Éanna, which probably relates to the Eoghanacht in Munster rather than Cineál Eoghain in Ulster. See Heaney.

Roinnt chlann éagsúla: in Oirghialla; cuid den Eoghanacht i dTiobraid Árann-Luimneach, sa Dál gCais sa Chlár agus Uí Fiachrach i Maigh Eo. Ainm pearsanta Éanna (galldú Enda) a bhí coitianta i bhfad siar. I 1995, bhain an file Séamas Heaney an Duais Nobel don litríocht, i mBéarla, dar ndó. MIF & SGG.
