Mac a' Bháird rare: Donegal etc. Ir. Lang. See Ward.
Ward Very numerous: all areas, especially Connacht. Ir. Mac a' Bháird (son of the bard). Although this name is current in England, Irish Wards are mostly indigenous. Some were hereditary bards attached to the O'Donnells in Donegal and the O'Kellys in Galway. IF.
