O'Rafferty Quite numerous: Meath etc. Ir. Ó Raithbheartaigh. See Rafferty.
Rafferty numerous: all areas, especially, Ulster, N Leinster, Connacht. Ir. Ó Raithbheartaigh, (prosperous one). There were septs in Sligo and Donegal where they were associated with Tory Island as Ó Robhartaigh. See also Roarty. IF.
