Quirke numerous: all areas, especially Munster and South East. Ir. Ó Cuirc, from first name Corcc, meaning "heart" or "crimsom". Before the Invasion, the sept was located in S W Tipperary, in a territory called Múscraí Uí Chuirc. MIF & GPN.
