Pluincéid Plunkett: líonmhar: Áth Cliath-Lár na Tíre. Ceann des na mór-chlanna Angla-Éireannacha a bhí lonnaithe sa Mhí ó aimsir an Ionraidh. I measc a mball ionráiteach tá (1) Oilibhéar Naofa (1621-81), ard-easpag Ard Mhacha; (2) Sir Horace Plunkett (1859-1932), aspal na gluaiseachta comhoibrithí (Co-op); (3) Joseph Mary Plunkett (1887-1916), file agus duine de cheannairí éirí amach 1916. Plunkett numerous: Dublin, Midlands etc. Ir. Pluincéid. French Blanquet, a reference to fairness of complexion. Anglo-Normans who settled in Meath. It is now the notable name of a distinguished family who have been associated with Meath for seven centuries.
