Haughey numerous: Armagh etc; Donegal-Sligo-Mayo etc; Louth, Monaghan and Longford. Ir. Ó h-Eachaidh, a personal name cognate with Eochaidh, meaning, perhaps, horseman. The sept was located in Armagh in 16 cent. Also as Haffey, q.v. MIF.
