Gowran fairly rare: Midlands. See Govern. Also, according to Woulfe, there was Ó Gabhráin who were a sept of the Uí Maine of Galway. IF & SGG.
MacGauran Quite numerous: Cavan-Leitrim-Sligo-Longford etc. Ir. Mag Shamhráin, samhradh, summer. Meaning, perhaps, a "summery" person. A sept of Breifne (Cavan-Leitrim). See also Mac Govern.
